This digital doll clothes pattern will let you sew a cute pair of overalls for your 18-inch doll!
With a sweetheart bib and permanent crease, these overalls are sure to become a favourite! They can be dressed up or down, depending on your fabric choice and the type of top you pair them with.
Samples shown in this pattern were sewn with quilting cotton, chambray and a lightweight, mini-wale corduroy. This pattern works best with mid-weight woven fabrics. You can embellish the overalls with bows, buttons and trim!
These overalls fit most 18-inch dolls. They will not fit older Pleasant Company American Girl© dolls. They are slightly adjustable by altering the length of elastic used in the waistband. For dolls with measurements that are outside the range shown in the pattern, you may need to make additional adjustments, such as increasing the crotch depth and adding some width to the sides of the front and back pant pieces.
Supplies:
- Less than ¼ yard of mid-weight, non-stretch woven fabric. Choose fabric that will crease crisply.
- Two sew in snaps – ¼ inch/7mm or smaller
- 5¼ – 6¼ inches of ⅜ inch wide elastic
- Sharp or microtex needle
- Matching thread
- Hand sewing needle
